Sydney's retail heart with a heated sky pool

Convido York & George runs between York and George Streets with an entrance on each, so the light rail stops at one door and the retail core sits at the other. Town Hall Station is two hundred and fifty metres away. Westfield, the Queen Victoria Building, David Jones and Pitt Street Mall are all a minute or two on foot, and Martin Place, Darling Harbour and Barangaroo are a short walk.

The building is new, thirty-eight levels, with apartments starting above a seven-storey podium. Two heritage buildings were restored and built into it at street level. North-westerly apartments look across the city and out over Darling Harbour through floor-to-ceiling glass.

Facilities sit on the sky lobby level: a twenty-metre heated pool looking down over George Street, a gym, a sky garden and a residents entertaining area with barbecues and outdoor seating. A concierge covers seven days, a building manager works on site, and security entry and cameras cover the rest. The building won Development of the Year from the Urban Taskforce.
