Boutique Martin Place living with a rooftop retreat

Convido Aston sits on a laneway off Martin Place, between Pitt and Castlereagh Streets, in the middle of the financial district. Martin Place Station and the light rail are both about four minutes' walk, and Circular Quay, the Rocks and Hyde Park are an easy stroll in three different directions. Everything a working week needs is within a few blocks.

At ninety-seven apartments across twenty-eight levels this is a small building by city standards, which is part of the appeal. Corner apartments have floor-to-ceiling glass and long views across the city skyline.

The rooftop is the best thing here. A swimming pool and sundeck sit on top of the building with a spa and a barbecue area, and there is an entertaining space alongside for having people over. A gym covers the mornings. Security access, intercom and cameras control the building and a manager works on site. For a stay of a few months in the centre of Sydney, it is hard to be better placed.
