Carlton's dining quarter with a landscaped rooftop terrace

Carlton by Convido sits on Queensberry Street just north of the city, in the middle of the university quarter. A tram stops a minute from the door and Melbourne Central train station is about ten minutes on foot. Lincoln Square is four minutes away, the Old Melbourne Gaol seven, and Carlton Gardens, the Melbourne Museum and the State Library are all within ten. The Lygon Street restaurant strip runs a couple of blocks east and RMIT and Mebourne Universities are on the doorstep.

Worth knowing: Queensberry Street sits just outside the free tram zone, so a trip north takes a fare while the run into the city is free from the boundary.

The building is fifteen levels and just under two hundred apartments. A landscaped rooftop terrace with indoor and outdoor lounge space and a barbecue is the shared amenity here, and apartments have private balconies. A meeting room is available in the building.

Reception is staffed six days from nine, with shorter hours on Sunday, so let them know if you are arriving late. Weekly housekeeping is included on stays of a week or more. Undercover parking can be arranged on request and needs booking ahead.
